FUNDRAISING
Peninsula FSC participates in year round, seasonal and one-time fundraising. We are a non-profit organization and we rely on funds raised to support all members of our club. Below are the following fundraising activities we participate in. Please contact an executive member if you have further information.
Thrifty Foods SMILE Cards
How it works:
- Ask an executive member to issue you your own Peninsula FSC SMILE card
- Take the SMILE Card with you to Thrifty Foods when you go grocery shopping
- Ask the cashier to load any amount you wish onto the card BEFORE paying for you grocery order
- Pay for the card load with cash, debit or credit card
- Next, simply pay for your grocery order with the Smile Card
- The Thrifty Foods SMILE Cards and Club Thrifty Foods Cards work together and they must be presented together prior to your purchase being rung through
- If you already have a SMILE Card for another group, why not alternate and use your Peninsula FSC card every few times
Benefits:
- 5% of your purchase will go towards Peninsula FSC
- There is absolutely no cost to you
Fundraising Period:
- September 8, 2009 to February 27th, 2010
Peninsula Co-op Membership
How it Works:
- make a purchase at any Peninsula Co-op Food Centre, Co-op Gas Centre, Co-op Home Heating, Co-op Cardlock and participating Save-On Gas
- present Peninsula FSC's Membership number 52714 to the cashier
- click here for participating locations, found on page 4
- If you already have a Co-op Membership number, why not alternate and use the Peninsula FSC number every few times
Benefits:
- Peninsula FSC earns a rebate, based on the amount of purchases from the Co-op that our members have made throughout the year
Fundraising Period:
- Year Round
Tru-Value Foods Spirit Board (Brentwood Bay)
How it Works:
- make a purchase at Tru-Value Foods
- ask for your purchase to be put towards Peninsula Figure Skating Club (#13)
Benefits:
- 1% of your purchase will go towards Peninsula FSC
Fundraising Period:
- Year round
Bottle Returns
How it Works:
- take your bottle returns to the Sidney Bottle Depot
- ask to have your bottle returns donated to the Peninsual Figure Skating Club's account
Benefits:
- All donated bottle returns will go towards Peninsula FSC
Fundraising Period:
- Year Round

- Purdy’s Christmas chocolate catalogue due November 12th
- Bottle Drive January 2, 2-4pm location TBA
